Call for Applications: High-Level Managerial Course on Renewable Energy and the Energy Transition

RES4Africa Foundation, in partnership with Enel Foundation, and in collaboration with the University Mohamed VI Polytechnic (UM6P), is delighted to announce the First High Level Managerial Course on Renewable Energy and the Energy Transition. This prestigious program aims to equip high-achieving professionals with the essential technical, economic, and regulatory competencies needed to advance renewable energy solutions in Africa’s evolving electricity markets.

Recognizing the critical importance of capacity building and knowledge sharing as key enablers of the energy transition, this initiative is in line with the Italian government’s Strategic Plan Italy-Africa, known as the Mattei Plan, which aims to strengthen cooperation and partnership between Italy and countries in Africa to support the energy transition.

The Managerial course will take place from the 15th to the 24th of October 2024 in Ben Guerir, Morocco, and will be conducted entirely in English. It has been designed to cater to professionals with 5-10 years of experience in the electricity sector, from both public and private organizations from various sectors, including public institutions, energy companies, universities, and research agencies across Africa.

Over the course of 10 days, participants from across the African continent will gather in Ben Guerir (at the UM6P premises) to gain a comprehensive understanding of the latest advancements, challenges, and opportunities in the field of power sector decarbonization. Renowned academic and industry experts from RES4Africa’s network of members and partners will deliver interactive sessions, workshops, and case studies, allowing for valuable knowledge-sharing and networking opportunities.

The application process is now open for African professionals who meet the following criteria: citizenship of an African country, a degree in the energy field or a related field, a minimum of 5 years of experience in the energy field, proficiency in English. The program is fully funded, covering the costs of travel, accommodation, and participation for selected participants.

Prospective participants are required to fill out the registration form, submit a Curriculum Vitae, a Motivation Letter, a Reference Letter, and a Passport copy. The deadline for applications is the 31st of August 2024.

Female applicants are highly encouraged to apply to this call.
